Perfectly balanced rotors. Vibration-free compressors.
Sound familiar?

Problems you might be facing

High vibration alarms on your compressor

Vibration levels creeping up over time — approaching trip levels. You know the rotor needs attention.

Impeller damage from FOD or erosion

Foreign object damage or erosion has caused blade loss or material loss — the rotor is out of balance.

No local balancing capability

You have to ship your rotor overseas for balancing — adding weeks of downtime and logistics risk.

What's included

Capabilities

Dynamic balancing

Low-speed and high-speed (where applicable) dynamic balancing on Schenck and similar machines.

Rotor repair

Impeller refurbishment, blade repair, erosion coating, shaft journal repair, and keyway restoration.

Runout correction

Shaft and impeller bore runout measurement and correction — TIR held to 0.001" or better.

NDT inspection

MPI, DPI, ultrasonic, and eddy current testing on shafts, impellers, and critical interfaces.

Root-cause analysis

Recurring balance problems? We investigate — thermal bow, coupling issues, foundation problems.

Balance certification

Full balance report — initial readings, correction weights, final residual, polar plots, and compliance statement.

Why customers choose us

  • API 617 / ISO 1940 G2.5 balance grade — or tighter on request.
  • Multi-plane balancing for rotors with 2+ impellers.
  • Erosion-resistant coatings applied after impeller repair.
  • Rotor preserved and crated for safe shipping — worldwide.
How we work

Process

01

Receive & inspect

Visual, dimensional, and NDT inspection of rotor assembly — document all findings.

02

Repair

Impeller refurbishment, shaft repair, seal replacement, and any machining required.

03

Balance

Multi-plane dynamic balancing to API 617 residual unbalance limits.

04

Certify & ship

Final inspection, balance certificate, preservation packaging, and shipping.

Frequently asked questions

What balance grade do you hold?+

Standard: API 617 (4W/N residual). We can balance to tighter limits — ISO 1940 G1.0 — for critical or high-speed applications.

Can you repair a damaged impeller?+

Yes — blade tip repair, erosion build-up, and weld repair on most cast and fabricated impellers. If damage is beyond repair, we reverse-engineer and manufacture a replacement.

How long does balancing take?+

Balance-only (clean, inspected rotor): 3–5 days. Full rotor overhaul with repair and balance: 4–6 weeks depending on repair scope.

Can you field-balance at our site?+

Yes — single-plane and two-plane field balancing using portable vibration analyzers. This is effective for trim balancing after bearing replacement or minor maintenance.
